GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTERS

ORAL PRESENTATIONS
 

General information

The official language of the Symposium is English.

 

Presenters can upload their presentation in the Speaker upload area upon registration or can upload the presentation no later than 2 hours before the start of the relevant session.

 

Upload of presentations less than 2 hours before the relevant session is not advised, however should this be the case, please ask for help at the Speaker upload area.

 

Presenters are advised when uploading their presentation to check if formulas/animations are shown correctly.

 

All speakers are requested to meet with the session chairs at the assigned session room fifteen minutes prior to the start of the session.

 

Please note:

·          Presentations from personal laptops are not allowed

·          Presentations should be provided in MS PowerPoint

·          Upload is possible from USB drives or CD-R disks

·          Presentations shall be stored in the folder corresponding to the assigned session

·          Presentation naming should include the main author’s surname and allow an easy and quick identification (avoid names like "LP.ppt"!)

·          Speakers are allowed 20 minutes for presentation including questions

·          Chairs will give 2-minute warning to wrap up

Equipment

Each lecture room is equipped with one laptop/video projector and one large screen. The software installed on the laptop (in English) includes:

 

Windows,

MS Office (Power Point, Word),

Adobe Acrobat Reader,

Internet Explorer,

Windows Media Player

The media player is only available with the standard codecs. Use of standard True Type fonts is suggested for PowerPoint presentations. In the case PowerPoint contains videos, please ensure that both files (Power Point and video – MPG AVI) are in the same folder.


POSTER PRESENTATIONS

General information
For each poster abstract one poster board in portrait format is reserved with a clear dimension of 80 cm (width) x 190 cm (height). All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available at the Registration Desk.

Display time

The general display time is from 08:30–19:00 from Tuesday to Thursday. Posters not removed by 19:00 every evening will be disposed of.

 

Authors are invited to be on stand-by close to their posters during the breaks. A dedicated poster session is scheduled every day (Tuesday to Thursday) from 17:40 to 19:00.
