The workshop will place emphasis on AI topics, which already are, or may be of particular interest in the future from the space applications point of view.
Suggested topics include the following, but should not be viewed as being exclusive:

• Emerging AI fields such as Artificial Life or Swarm Intelligence;
• AI methods for intelligent interfaces and presentation of data;
• Autonomous decision making and control;
• AI methods for data analysis;
• AI methods for design automation and support;
• AI search and optimization methods;
• AI methods for monitoring and diagnosis.

In order to coordinate with the 6th International Workshop on Planning and Scheduling for Space (IWPSS-09), which is held immediately following the Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Space, we encourage research works on Automated Planning and Scheduling to be submitted to IWPSS-09.
