In addition to the activities listed in the Touristic Programme, IVEC 2009 foresees the following events:
27 April 2009:
On-site registration:
The on-site registration for IVEC 2009 will start on 27 April at 14:00 and will last until 19:30.
Workshop:
IVEC 2009 will host a workshop given by CST on EM 3D Simulation with
CST STUDIO SUITE 2009 and Introduction to CST PARTICLE STUDIO 2009
(from 14:00 until 18:00 Programme).
Welcome cocktail:
A welcome cocktail will follow (18:00-19:30). For logistics purposes please confirm your attendance to the welcome cocktail by ticking the appropriate box when registering on-line.
28 April 2009:
Private visit to Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
ESA has arranged for the museum to stay open after their regular visiting hours. The cost for this ticket is Euro 60 per person. Registration for this visit can be made when registering on-line.
29 April 2009:
The IVEC 2009 conference dinner will take place at Castel Sant'Angelo.
Castel Sant'Angelo (Mausoleum of Hadrian) is a towering cylindrical building, commissioned between 135 and 139 A.D. by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The building was later used as a fortress and castle, and is now a museum. Immersed in the unique atmosphere of this magnificent historical building, attendees will be able to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over Rome and savour the delicacies of the Italian gastronomy. In order to enjoy the most of the location, we strongly advise all attendees to wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket.
