The Sensors Anywhere workshop has the following main objectives:

• Position SANY and in-situ sensor access with respect to GEOSS, INSPIRE and GMES and to similar work done on the GMES space component,
• Present the architectural approach chosen and standards selected for the Coordinated Data Access System (CDS) of the GMES Space Component (GSC) for Earth Observation (EO) sensor data access,
• Present the architectural approach chosen and standards selected in the SANY Sensor Service Architecture for in-situ data access,
• Demonstrate, based on current intermediate SANY results, the use of OGC Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) and other standards through the ESA Service Support Environment (SSE),
• Compare the above mentioned EO and in-situ architectural approaches; assess their degree of convergence and identify further actions to improve synergies and convergence, possibly with support of the FP7 Coordinating Action "GIGAS".
