4th ESA Workshop on Satellite Navigation User Equipment Technologies

ESA STUDENT SPONSORSHIP

ESA Education Office offers the possibility to sponsor students presenting either regular papers or student presentations at NAVITEC 2008 by means of a grant to cover conference registration fee and part of the travel and accommodation expenses.

Eligible students:
  • are between 18 and 28,
  • are nationals of an ESA Member or Cooperating State,
  • are full-time students (PhD or Master) in a university of an ESA Member State or Cooperating State
  • present an accepted regular paper/poster in the conference or a student poster
  • preferably were not sponsored by the Education Office in the past
Selection will be performed based on relevance of submitted abstract and student CV.

Sponsorship will be in the form of reimbursement of conference fee, travel and accommodation expenses up to a maximum of 500€ after the conference. The student will have to fill in a form and send the original receipts (and boarding passes) to be reimbursed.

Application for sponsorship shall be submitted to the NAVITEC 2008 Technical Coordinator via email to .

Closing date for application is 31 October 2008.

Indicating NAVITEC 2008 Sponsored Student Application in the email subject with the following information in the email body:
  • Student’s name, age, address, degree (PhD, Master, and year) and University.
  • Student’s supervisor name and position.
  • Attachment with submitted abstract.
  • Attachment with student’s CV.
  • Attachment of signed letter written by the student stating that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions listed above.
  • Attachment of signed reference letter written by the students’ supervisor.
