4th ESA Workshop on Satellite Navigation User Equipment Technologies

OBJECTIVE

NAVITEC 2008 is the 4th of a series of successful workshops hosted by the European Space Agency on satellite radionavigation user equipment technologies.

The aim of this Workshop is to provide an open forum to space-borne and terrestrial satellite navigation equipment designers, developers, integrators, users, universities and agencies representatives.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their technical expertise and experiences by formal presentations, informal discussions and round tables. Furthermore, NAVITEC’2008 will provide an overview of satellite navigation technologies that are available, or being developed, especially in the frame of current research and developments programmes.

In this edition, special attention will be devoted to the hybridization of satellite radionavigation technologies with other navigation technologies and aids, such as inertial sensors and wireless networks. Special focus will also be put on early Galileo receiver technologies and experimentation.
