Focal Points in S&MA Activities during JAXA’s Next Five Year Planning Period

JAXA’s next five year planning period starts in April 2008. JAXA S&MA organizations have identified focal points of next five years for S&MA activities, under the slogan of “working toward 100% success.” The primary goals of JAXA S&MA during this period are “Recurrence Prevention and Proactive Measures” and “Reinforcement of Technical Foundation” to ensure mission success. JAXA has investigated recent mission achievements, changes in social environments of JAXA, and daily S&MA activities to clearly understand the current situation and challenges we face. JAXA is planning to overcome the challenges by focusing on the following in addition to making improvements in daily S&MA activities.
