8th European Space Power Conference

ACCOMPANYING PERSON PROGRAM

Accompanying persons can subscribe to the special tourist programme listed below. Participants are asked to book and pay for the tours they have reserved together with the conference registration.

Monday: Konstanz City Tour
(90 min, guided tour in English)

free of charge
The city tour starts after session end and conducts the participants from the conference location to the Konzil, the venue of the opening reception. The relaxing walk passes across the most beautiful points of interest of the historical city of Konstanz. Departure: 5:15 p.m., arrival 6:45 p.m.


Tuesday: Excursion to the North Bank of the Lake of Constance
(all day, partly guided tour in English)

45 Euro/person, guides and transport included, meals excluded
The tour starts by ship from Konstanz harbour, crossing the lake towards Meersburg. Guided tour in the medieval town of Meersburg. Free time for lunch. Bus transfer to Birnau and visit of the famous baroque church. Continuation to Unteruhldingen and guided visit of the Lake Dwellings of the Stone and Bronze Age. Transfer back to Konstanz.
Departure: 10:15 a.m., arrival 6:45 p.m. (minimum 12 participants)

Wednesday: Zeppelin Flight along the North Bank of the Lake of Constance
(45 min flight and airport transfer)

310 Euro/person, English speaking flight assistant, transfer included
The Conference offers the unique opportunity of a smooth and silent flight in the new Zeppelin NT. The flight route starts at Friedrichshafen airport, going westbound over vineyards and orchards to the castle of Salem and the city of Meersburg.
Venue: 1:15 p.m. at the conference location, taxi transfer to Friedrichshafen, check-in 2:15 p.m. departure of flight 3:15 p.m., arrival at Konstanz 17:00 p.m. (maximum 11 participants, first come, first served!) If the flight cannot take place as scheduled due to adverse weather, it might be shifted to Thursday, depending on the availability of the airship.


Thursday: Visit of the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen
(90 min guided visit in English)

7,50 Euro/person, guide included, transport excluded
Visitors cross the lake at their own expenses by ship, catamaran or bus (timetables will be made available) and meet at the Zeppelin Museum. The technological collection of the Zeppelin Museum brings all aspects of the history and technology of airship flight to life. Original equipment as well as a 33 m long reconstruction of the LZ 129 Hindenburg cabin is displayed.
Venue: 3:15 p.m. in the museum entrance hall.
