Noordwijk is a coastal resort in the heart of the Dutch bulb fields that will be on blooming season during the conference. The nearby Keukenhof Gardens are famous for their extensive displays of flowers. Excursions that are ideal for groups include a trip to Space Expo, the largest permanent European space exhibition, and the Ford Museum, with the largest collection of Ford vehicles in the world.

A bus shuttle service from the Grand Hotel Huis Ter Duin in Noordwijk will be organised to go to the various events and to go to the SSCAG meeting in ESTEC.

Directions to the Huis ter Duin:

From Amsterdam:
Follow the A4 along Schiphol airport. At the junction after the bridge restaurant and the petrol station, head towards Leiden West/ Den Haag Centrum (A44). On the A44 take the turning Noordwijk/ Voorhout/ Oegstgeest Noord (turning 6). Turn right at the end of the turnoff towards Noordwijk. Proceed along the canal and go straight ahead at the traffic lights in Voorhout. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights before Noordwijk (Gooweg / Nieuw Offemweg) and turn right at the second roundabout (Beeklaan). Stay on Beeklaan and after approximately 1,5 km Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is situated on your left-hand side.

From Den Haag (The Hague):
Follow the A44 from Den Haag, along Wassenaar. On the A44 you take the turning Noordwijk/ Leiden/ Katwijk (turning 8). Turn left at the end of the turnoff towards Noordwijk. Follow the road (approx. 7-km.) and take the 1st turning Noordwijk. At the roundabout you go straight across the roundabout (Beeklaan). Stay on Beeklaan and after approximately 1,5 km Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is situated on your left-hand side.

ESTEC is located at the southern tip of Noordwijk. From Den Haag (The Hague): take the A4 (direction Amsterdam) and exit at "Leiden". Follow the N206 towards Katwijk and Haarlem. Take the exit "Katwijk Noord". From there follow signs to "ESTEC" (small white squares). From Amsterdam: take the A4 (direction Den Haag-Rotterdam) then at the junction follow the A44. Take the exit "Noordwijk-Voorhout", continue to Noordwijk and from there, follow signs to "ESTEC". By train From Leiden Centraal station, take the number 32 bus to Katwijk. The bus stops in front of the ESTEC entrance gate. Please note that this bus leaves twice an hour during peak periods and only once an hour during normal hours. Journey time is approx. 30 minutes. By plane From Schiphol airport, either take a taxi to ESTEC (30 min), or a train to Leiden (15 min) and then the number 32 bus (see train directions above) (30 min.).
