IVEC Award for Excellence in Vacuum Electronics
The IVEC Award for Excellence in Vacuum Electronics was established in 2002 to recognize outstanding contributions to the field. Anyone or any group of persons working in the field of vacuum electronics is eligible for this award, which will be presented during the IVEC 2005 Conference Dinner. Anyone in the field may place a colleague in nomination. Selection of the winner will be made by a vote of the members of the Technical Committee. Members of the Technical Committee who are nominees may not vote. Only living persons are eligible for the award. The winner will receive a commemorative plaque and an award of $1000. If a group nomination is selected for the award they will each receive a plaque and share the $1000.
Submit your nomination for the 2005 Award by February 1, 2005 to the Chairman of the Technical Committee, Dan Goebel, Dan.M.Goebel@jpl.nasa.gov

IVEC Student Paper Award
The IVEC Student Paper Award was introduced at IVEC 2004 to recognize and promote exceptional student contributions to the field. Any student is eligible for this award, which will be presented during the IVEC 2005 Conference Dinner. Selection of the winner will be made by vote of a dedicated International Committee. The winner will receive a commemorative plaque and an award of $500. Students are considered as individuals working full time on obtaining either bachelor's, master's or doctorate degrees or equivalent in a discipline related to Vacuum Electronics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Science...).
This award is not open to Post-Doctoral Students.
Students applying to this award should follow the standard procedure for abstract submission (deadline: 15 January 2005). When submitting your abstract, please mention explicitly that you are candidate for the IVEC Student Paper Award.
